Much Loved Campaign – show your softer side!

We’re delighted to continue to support to our chosen charity ‘The Blue Box‘ in their new “Much Loved” Campaign.

The Blue Box is a local Limerick charity that does fantastic work with children and young adults helping them to work through issues and traumas through the effective use of music, art & dance therapy. Many local schools sing their praises because of the great work they do, so all help is greatly appreciated.

To donate €4 to the “Much Loved” Campaign just text BEAR to 50300, then post & share a selfie of you and your favourite childhood teddy bear. In addition to raising much needed funds they hope to raise awareness of the need for a stable childhood, for all children.

…ok so he’s not actually our childhood teddy…and none of us are quite sure how he sneaked in to the SQT office but we’ve all got a soft spot for lovable rogues, so we guess he’s here to stay!

Happy Christmas everyone!!! It’s getting very festive altogether here in the SQT office…
…well, that is once we eventually found our tree! (without fail we’re always scratching our heads come December – we should take bets next year on who will remember where it is!).

…and here’s our SQT Christmas Tree in all it’s glory!

Some of us have a little bit more work to do with pimping up their desk – Kim, surely you can take a break from year-end for 2 minutes to get some lights on that tree!

Why would you do an internationally recognised NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety?

- Research conducted by NEBOSH this year showed that a NEBOSH qualification and/or Technician Membership of IOSH or higher was specified in 90 out of 100 jobs advertised in the UK for health and safety managers and advisors.
– The Diploma holder may use the designatory letters IDipNEBOSH after their name.
– The Diploma holder may apply for Graduate membership (Grad IOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, the major UK professional body in the field. This is the first step to becoming a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner as a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH).
– This qualification is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management as meeting the academic requirements for full membership (MIIRSM).
– In the current economic climate, with more competition for fewer jobs, being suitably qualified has never been more important.

Why would you do an Internationally recognised NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety with SQT Training?
– Over the past years, the pass rate for SQT Diploma students has consistently out-performed the NEBOSH average pass rate for all centres.
– The International Diploma course syllabus covers International legal frameworks and codes of practice but our course also covers Irish legislation. (Other centres run the National Diploma which is based only on UK legislation.)

Quality Ireland emerged in early 2012 from an initiative at the Quality Management Standards Committee hosted by NSAI. Its members come from a variety of backgrounds. It has now set up a LinkedIn group – Quality Ireland.

According to Quality Ireland, their LinkedIn group is a powerful communication network for people who share their vision of “A better Ireland” and support their mission ‘To promote and foster a culture of quality in Ireland to make life better for individuals, communities, organisations and society in general”.

Membership of the Quality Ireland LinkedIn Group is available, on a moderated basis, to people of all backgrounds who would like to support their work.

Next NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety

Our next NEBOSH International Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety commences on Monday 26th March.

SQT’s pass rate for this course far exceeds NEBOSH average as shown in the table below.
